Altai Guest House
Altai Guest House
The building of our guesthouse was originally built by Chinese constructors in 1960 for the purpose of a hotel and restaurant. Until 1990, it operated continuously as various restaurants. It is one of the oldest buildings in Ulgii city.
To preserve this historical building amongst others that were being demolished and replaced, we purchased it in 2018 and renovated it. Now we operate it as a guesthouse for receiving foreign and domestic tourists, a coffee shop, and Kazakh traditional arts & handicrafts souvenir shop.
Altai Guesthouse has a shared living room with a seating area, TV, safety boxes for temporary storage, and free internet access. The rooms are: one dorm room with bunk beds, one double room, one room with three beds, and three rooms with four beds. Each floor has a shared bathroom with: a shower, flush-toilet, sink, and washing machine. There is a shared kitchen with a refrigerator, electric stove, and all kinds of cooking utensils. Guests are able to cook meals and make breakfast on their own. There is a fenced vehicle parking space behind our guesthouse. And there are security cameras in front of and behind our guesthouse.
